Our Foundation's Purpose
The Lavish LaLa Foundation was founded in 2019, by Dr. LaTeisha MaGee-Knight. This Foundation is the glimmer of hope to people in need. This international entity has brought hope and change through God’s Love to many countries across the world.
Biography of Founder
Dr. LaTeisha MaGee-Knight
Dr. LaTeisha Monique MaGee-Knight is a pillar of the community. Dr. MaGee- Knight is a licensed Evangelist through Prayer Changes Things, Inc. under Bishop Richard Antoine and Pastor Lois Antoine in San Bernardino, CA. LaTeisha is a licensed therapeutic foster parent for the states of TX, NY and CA. She has been changing lives in the community. She is an advocate for young children in the community, she has clear the way for many children to get what was need to them by the State, City governments and agencies. Dr. MaGee-Knight has been a foster parent for over 26years. She has spoken up for the children in her home over the years. Every child that stayed in her home learned that the valuable lesson of education and graduated from high school and beyond.
She is a role model and show the young people by example. Dr. MaGee-Knight has completed three Associate degrees (Early childhood Education, Social Science and Humanities) from Barstow Community College. She also obtained her Bachelors degrees from both Ashford (B.S. Early Childhood Education Administration) and Kaplan (B.S. Early Childhood Development) Universities. Her Masters Degrees (ABG Alliance Theological Seminary in Humanities and Christian Education and University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) in Education with a specialization in Special Education. Her Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from The House of Refuge Theological Seminary of NY. Dr. MaGee-Knight also obtain her MS and PhD. in Psychotherapy/Clinical Mental Health in Christian Counseling from Heart Bible International University. She has honorary doctorate degrees in Theology and Sacred Music from Anointed by God Seminary. She is currently going to UAGC for another Master’s in Criminal Justice to apply for Law School. Dr. MaGee-Knight was coronated as Queen Nana Aba Nkosohemaa in Ghana.
Dr. MaGee-Knight also helps with outreach program around the NYC. She has donated to the Salvation Army and the Army Emergency Relief. Dr. MaGee-Knight is also spreading the word to people in the community about healthy living, with a focus on proper eating. LaTeisha believes that we need to live for our children. Since 2009, she has been helping families get into housing programs through the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless and NYC housing authority. In 2014, she turned her focus to Africa. She is the founder and CEO of the Lavish LaLa Foundation. Dr. Magee-Knight has built homes and schools in Nigeria, Liberia and Ghana. She has had multiple food getaways and spearheaded to first Ghanian Healthcare drive where she paid for over 600 people to receive health insurance. Dr. MaGee-Knight is also the founder of the Lavish LaLa Academy, Lavish LaLa “Young Stars” Football Academy and the Lavish LaLa International Studios. She also has sent resources to Kenya and Zimbabwe. Dr. Magee-Knight embodies community service and is always looking for a way to help someone out of a situation.
The Lavish LaLa Foundation - Our Focus
Our current focus has been to assist African countries. We have built an orphanage in Nigeria and provided food, water and clothes to Nigeria, Liberia, Kenya, Ghana, and Zimbabwe. The current goal that we are aiming for is to build a school and orphanage for the less fortunate in Liberia & Ghana.
We are working toward rehabilitating homes for a selected few through a lottery drawing in Liberia & Ghana. Also, over the next few years, we plan to build Healthcare clinics in both Liberia and Ghana.
